From my perspective, the Continental PremiumContact 7 is the stronger overall performer, especially if wet grip and braking safety are the priority. It stops shorter in both wet and dry conditions and also has better aquaplaning resistance and lower abrasion. The Hankook Ventus Prime 4, however, is the better value choice. It matches the Continental in wear and fuel consumption while costing 33% less, which is a significant saving.
If I want the best performance, I would choose the PremiumContact 7. If I want strong everyday performance for much less money, the Ventus Prime 4 makes a very compelling case.
