Results below were taken from the 2025 Tyre Review’s Best SUV All Season Tyres Test with a total of 7 tires tested. The graph below shows the comparison between Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 vs Nokian Seasonproof 2 based on the relevant performance category. The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 tire was set as a reference hence at the 100% mark.

In wet braking, the Nokian Seasonproof 2 stops 0.26 meters shorter than the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3, a 1% improvement. During wet handling, the Goodyear is just 0.03 seconds faster around the course — a negligible difference of 0%. Subjective wet handling scores give the Nokian a noticeable 3% edge, with a perfect 10 compared to Goodyear’s 9.5. In straight-line aquaplaning, the Seasonproof 2 resists hydroplaning at 81.7 km/h versus Goodyear’s 80 km/h, a 2% improvement.

In conclusion, while both perform closely, the Nokian Seasonproof 2 edges ahead in subjective control and aquaplaning, making it the slightly stronger performer in wet conditions.

In subjective dry handling, the Goodyear scores a perfect 10, slightly ahead of Nokian’s 9.75.

Conclusion

As a tire expert, I see strengths in both options. The Nokian Seasonproof 2 impressed me with its sharper snow handling, lower rolling resistance, and slightly better wet grip — a clear step forward in all-season refinement. That said, the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 remains a benchmark for a reason: it delivers excellent dry handling feel, better comfort, and overall value at a lower price. Choosing between them comes down to whether you prioritize winter control and efficiency, or ride comfort and affordability.
