Results below were taken from the 2023 Auto Bild All Season Test. A whopping 35 tires were tested this time around with only 16 tires making it into the final round. However, in wet handling, the Kumho edges out slightly, maintaining better control at 74.7 km/h, just 0.1 km/h faster than the Continental’s 74.6 km/h. For straight-line aquaplaning resistance, the Continental again takes the lead, managing 76.1 km/h, which is 3.3 km/h higher than Kumho’s 72.8 km/h.

Snow

In snow performance, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 has a slight edge over the Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ in braking, stopping 0.2 meters shorter at 23.2 meters compared to Kumho’s 23.4 meters. For snow traction, the Continental pulls stronger with a force of 2744 Newtons, surpassing Kumho’s 2672 Newtons. In snow handling, the Continental also excels, maintaining an average speed of 57.4 km/h, which is 1 km/h faster than the Kumho’s 56.4 km/h.

Expert’s Perspective

As a tire expert, I can confidently say that the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 is the clear winner in this duel. It outperforms the Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ in several key areas: it stops shorter in both wet and dry conditions, offers better snow traction and handling, lasts nearly 10,000 kilometers longer, and provides lower rolling resistance for improved fuel efficiency. Despite being slightly worse in dry handling and more expensive, the overall superior performance of the AllSeasonContact 2 makes it the better choice for year-round driving.
