Results below were taken from the Tire Rack’s “Taking Off-Road Tires On-Road- 2024” test. A total of 12 tires were tested this time around in Tire Rack’s own proving ground. The graph below shows the comparison between BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA KO3 vs Nitto Recon Grappler AT based on the relevant performance category. The BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA KO3 was set as a reference hence at the 100% mark. Note that for subjective evaluation, we equate 1 point as 5%. In wet braking, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA KO3 stops 8 feet shorter than the Nitto Recon Grappler AT, which is a 4% shorter distance. In wet handling, the KO3 scores 5.31 out of 10 compared to the Recon Grappler’s 4.25 out of 10, giving the KO3 a 5% higher subjective rating. In wet handling lap times, the KO3 completes the course 0.57 seconds faster than the Recon Grappler, translating to a 1% quicker lap.
