Best tires for Honda Accord: Honda Accord is best known for its 4 door sedan variant & has been one of the top selling cars in America since 1989. With numerous accolades achieved over the last 20 years, Honda Accord has been a firm favorite sedan car of choice for Americans. As of 2020 Honda Accord has sold more than 18 million units and its ranked 8th in the world’s best selling vehicle of all-time. The tire size of Honda Accord has also evolved based on the automotive trend starting humbly in 1981 with the 175/80R13, it moved in the 14″ & 15″ in the 90’s. The current 2022 Honda Accord boasts a 225/50R17, 235/45R18 & 235/40R19 selection with a fair share of volume comes at the 17″ size.
With the sidewall height being at the cross head between ultra high performance & SUV sizes, a Honda Accord user has the luxury to choose between an all season grand touring segment or an ultra high performance all season segment. As mentioned in our best 225/65R17 tire article, all season tires have always been the go to tires for the American market and this segment has been well established across the years. There are 2 types of all season tires, one with 3 peak mountain & one with only M+S. We have covered these 2 types of tire head to head with Michelins Defender T+H (M+S) vs Cross Climate 2 (3 peak mountain) and the M+S all season tires usually are worst in winter performances but excel much better in mileage.
If you are in an area which snows quite heavily, 3 peak mountain all season tires would be definitely a good choice. However if you have very light snow or in areas where temperatures do not drop below 45°F (7°C), a standard all season tire with M+S logo would be sufficient. If you fancy a much more handling dominant tire, the ultra high performance all season segment would fit perfectly.
Below are the best tires available for Honda Accord based on segment.
