After hearing that Silverstone plant will be closed down by its owner Toyo, I was wondering how many tire plants do we have in Malaysia? After digging around, I found out we have 3 fully operational tire plant in Malaysia
- Continental Tire AS Malaysia – Kedah
- Toyo Tires Malaysia – Perak
- Goodyear Malaysia Berhad -Selangor
There are also 2 tire plants which needs more verification on whether production has started or not.
- Maxtrek Tyres- Pahang
- Fullrun Tyre- Selangor
The map below shows all the tire plants across Malaysia. As of writing, they are currently no tire plants in east Malaysia.
