Rolling Resistance

When considering high-performance, extreme sporty tires, rolling resistance is not usually a primary concern for buyers, as they tend to prioritize grip and handling capabilities. However, as sustainability and fuel efficiency become increasingly important in today’s automotive landscape, understanding where these tires stand in terms of rolling resistance is worthwhile. In this regard, the Turanza 6 significantly outperforms the competition, recording the best rolling resistance value of 7.1 N/kN and claiming the top spot. This impressive figure translates to reduced fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions, contributing to a more environmentally friendly driving experience.

On the other hand, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 posted a higher coefficient value of 8 N/kN, indicating a slightly less efficient performance in terms of rolling resistance. While this difference may not be a decisive factor for those seeking maximum performance, it is worth noting for drivers who are increasingly mindful of their environmental footprint and fuel economy. Consequently, the Turanza 6’s superior rolling resistance performance presents another aspect to consider when comparing these two high-performance tires.
