Results below were taken from the 2024 ADAC All Season Test. There were 16 tires tested fully this time around which. The graph below shows the comparison between Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ vs Toyo Celsius AS2 based on the relevant performance category. The Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ was set as a reference hence at the 100% mark.

Wet
In wet braking, the Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ stops 1.3 meters shorter than the Toyo Celsius AS2, with the Kumho coming to a halt at 35.1 meters compared to Toyo’s 36.4 meters. However, in straight-line aquaplaning resistance, the Toyo Celsius AS2 outperforms the Kumho, handling speeds of 78.4 km/h before losing grip, while the Kumho manages 73.4 km/h.

Snow
In snow braking, the Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ outperforms the Toyo Celsius AS2, stopping 1.1 meters shorter at 10.6 meters compared to Toyo’s 11.7 meters. Additionally, the Kumho delivers stronger snow traction, generating a pulling force of 223.2 Newtons, significantly higher than the Toyo’s 191.4 Newtons, highlighting a clear advantage in snowy conditions.

However, the Toyo Celsius AS2 has a lower abrasion rate at 59 mg/km/t, compared to Kumho’s 69 mg/km/t, making Toyo the better environmental choice due to its reduced tire particle emission.

However, the Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ demonstrates stronger overall performance in wet and winter conditions, better fuel efficiency, and comes at a lower price point. While both tires have their strengths, the Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ seems to have a stronger edge, especially in challenging weather conditions and value for money.
